14th Conference on Fast Field Cycling NMR Relaxometry

BOOK OF ABSTRACT

The 14th Conference on Fast Field Cycling NMR Relaxometry was successfully organized by CNRS – PHENIX – Sorbonne Université and took place in the beautiful historic city of Paris, France, from 16 to 19 June 2026.

The conference brought together researchers, scientists, engineers, and industry professionals from around the world, providing an outstanding opportunity to exchange ideas, present the latest advances in Fast Field Cycling NMR relaxometry, and foster new collaborations across multiple scientific disciplines.

Building on a tradition that began with the first conference in Berlin in 1998, the FFC NMR Relaxometry community continues to grow, strengthening interactions between chemists, physicists, engineers, biologists, physicians, and material scientists. These exchanges have significantly contributed to both theoretical and experimental developments while expanding the range of applications of Fast Field Cycling techniques.

The 2026 edition also featured a dedicated demonstration day on 15 June, where participants had the opportunity to explore and test a variety of NMR relaxometers and benchtop NMR spectrometers provided by conference sponsors.

Throughout the four-day scientific program, the conference highlighted recent developments and future perspectives in:

  • Field Cycling NMR
  • Fast Field Cycling NMR Relaxometry
  • Time-Domain Low-Field NMR Relaxometry
  • Fast Field Cycling MRI
  • Ultra-Low Field MRI
  • Statistical Physics applied to transport phenomena at the mesoscale

The presentations and discussions showcased the broad impact of these techniques across numerous application areas, including materials science, biology, food science, energy, cultural heritage, and environmental science, reflecting the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of the field.

We would like to thank all speakers, attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and members of the Scientific Committee and Local Organising Committee for their valuable contributions, which made the conference a great success.

We look forward to welcoming the Fast Field Cycling NMR community again at the next Fast Field Cycling Conference that will be held in Rostock in 2028!
